Nigel McCrery was a UK policeman but left to study History and went on to work for the BBC's drama department. He is best known for his work on BBCTVs 'Silent Witness' and 'New Tricks' as well as the award-winning book
All The King's Men. He has written several crime novels, including the Detective Inspector Lapslie series and stand alone novels based on the TV series'Silent Witness'. He has currently been working in the field of Military History with Pen & Sword Books & Resides in the UK.
Barry Davies British Empire Medal (BEM) (1944-2016) served in the British Army from 1962-1985. He served with the SAS from 1966 and was awarded the BEM in 1977 for his participation in the Hostage Rescue at Mogadishu after a Passenger Jet was hijacked with 91 Passengers on board belonging to Lufthansa Airlines. Upto the time of his death in Spain he was considered to be the Unofficial SAS Historian and has written several books on his time serving in the Army as well as on the history of the SAS.
