Description:
Lacey Garner is a young reporter with a troubled past. She grew up in a cheap motel in Las Cruces with a mother who was a prostitute. Lacey struggles with the memories of what she and her mother had to do to survive. Now she's a successful reporter in New York. So successful, that she's the only one capable of taking on an important assignment for the magazine she works for. The problem is that this particular assignment challenges her emotionally and psychologically in ways that her editor never could have imagined.
