To the Graduating Class of 2018,
President of
I offer my wholehearted congratulations to you on your graduation. It is remarkable
to reflect on the historic moments we have shared both locally on our own campus
Ramapo College of New Jersey
and nationally as your future unfolds before you.
As significant forces change the national higher education landscape and the campus
grounds continue to evolve, it is important that the value of a Ramapo liberal arts
education persists. As economic uncertainties endure, the ability to think analytically
and critically, to speak concisely and cogently, and to write effectively are essential
skills in the ever-changing twenty-first century.
I thank you for your contributions to both the curricular and extracurricular
vibrancy of our campus. Your inquiry, talent, and character have invigorated the
Ramapo campus and continue to strengthen our reputation. It is a privilege for me to
