G. ct - Ballard, Maggie Gee and Ian McEwan, and argues that in these authors’ ne n o novels a sophisticated conception of the subject as citizen develops C e v alongside a theoretical reconnection of freedom to the polis as a response gra to the Thatcherite principles of the individual and the strong state.
