TEXTILE AND APPAREL IMPORTS FROM CHINA: STATISTICAL REPORTS Annual Compilation 2013 Investigation No. 332-501 Click on "Introduction" tab at bottom of screen to begin report UNITED STATES INTERNATIONAL TRADE COMMISSION 500 E St., SW, Washington, DC 20436 PURPOSE AND SCOPE This annual report for 2013 contains a compilation of the statistical reports published every two weeks by theCommissiononthevolume,value,unitvalue,andimportmarketshareofimportsfromChinathatwere subject to the provisions of the 2005 U.S.-China Memorandum of Understanding Concerning Trade in Textiles and Apparel (MOU). This compilation includes official import data from the U.S. Department of Commerce, and shows data at the 3-digit textile/apparel category level and by the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) 10-digit subheadings in these categories. The Commission posts updated reports every two weeks on its website at: www.usitc.gov/research_and_analysis/What_We_Are_Working_On.htm The Commission prepares reports every two weeks, as well as annual compilations in response to a request from the House Committee on Ways and Means received on October 14, 2008, pursuant to section 332(g)oftheTariffActof1930(19U.S.C.1332(g)). The information and analysis are provided to the President, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR), and Congress to facilitate the development of sound and informed U.S. trade policy. The time frames are: By category: Annual data 2007 through 2013 Quarterly data First quarter 2012 through fourth quarter 2013 By HTS10 subheading: Annual data 2011 through 2013 (see note below) Quarterly data First quarter 2012 through fourth quarter 2013 TheannualtimeframeforpresentingthedatabyHTS10subheadingislimited,comparedwithcategorydata,becausevalidsubheadingsmaychangefrom yeartoyear as a resultof revisions to theHTS. (Typically,HTS10 subheadings are supersededbynewHTS10 subheadings as aresult ofstatistical breakoutsorchangestotheHTSthatarenecessarypursuanttoHSrevisionsbytheWorldCustomsOrganization.)Majorsubheadingchangesoccurredin 2007andagainin2012.Minorchangeshaveoccurredintheinterimyears.
