You can try a different potato with this recipe, but I would stick to a starchy spud for a nice texture. Preparation Time:10 minutes Servings:8 Ingredient List: 2 ounces fresh chives, chopped a pinch of salt and pepper 4 ounces milk 4 ounces sour cream 32 ounces peeled Yukon Gold potatoes, cut into quarters Instructions: a. Put potatoes in a large pot and cover with water until they have 2” of water over the top. b. Bring water to a boil and cook for 25 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Drain. c. Transfer potatoes to a bowl and mash. Stir in milk and mash again, then do the same with the sour cream and chives. d. Season with salt and pepper before serving. Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes The buttermilk makes this mashed potato recipe thick and delicious. Try adding some bacon grease to the potatoes after you finish cooking them for more flavor. Preparation Time:30 minutes Servings:12 Ingredient List: 3 chopped onions 64 ounces buttermilk 80 ounces of peeled potatoes, cut into cubes 16 ounces bacon, sliced Instructions: a. Put potatoes in a big pot with enough salted water to cover them. Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender. b. Fry bacon in a large frying pan on medium-high heat until browned evenly and crispy. c. Drain bacon on a paper towel, reserving the grease in the frying pan. Crumble bacon when it is cool enough to handle. d. Cook onions in the bacon drippings and fry for 4 minutes or until tender. e. Drain excess grease from the pan. f.
