TELANGANA STATE ELECTION COMMISSION
CONDUCT OF ELECTION TO FILL UP THE CASUAL VACANCY IN THE OFFICE OF
CHAIRPERSON OF KORUTLA MUNICIPALITY IN JAGITIAL DISTRICT.
No. 342/TSEC-ULBs/2019.- In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 243-ZA of Constitution
of India, Sections 10 A and 10 B read with Section 23 of the Telangana Municipalities Act, 1965, (Act 6 of 1965)
and Rule 3, 4 and 8 of the Telangana Municipalities (Conduct of Election of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson)
Rules, 2005, the State Election Commissioner, hereby, directs the Collector and District Election Authority, Jagitial
District to authorize a Gazetted Officer of the Government to conduct election to the casual vacancy in the office
of Chairperson, Korutla, Municipality in Jagitial District in accordance with the procedure laid down in the
said Act and Rules and fixes the schedule for the said election in the Annexure appended to this Notification.

NNoottee :- If for any reason election to the said office is not held on 11-02-2019, it shall be held on the next day,
i.e., in 12-02-2019 whether or not it is observed as a holiday by the Municipal Body under Section 23(1) of the
said Act.
