WEIsE(1877) described threepselaphinespecies fromJapan on the basis of
HILLER'smaterialcollectedfromHagi,YamaguchiPrefecture,thoughnoscientisthas
examinedorredescribedthetypesofthesespecies.TheauthorvisitedtheMuseumfiir
Naturkunde,HumboldtUniversity(MNHU),BerlininMay2005,and foundthetype
material includingprobablesyntypes.Astheresultofhisexamination,twonewsyn-
onymspresentedherewereclarified.
Theauthor ismuchindebtedtoDr.JohannesFR1scH(MNHU) forhiskindassis-
tance forexaminationandloanofthematerialin MNHU.

Remarks. Thetypeof“Bythinusseriatus”denselycoveredby fungiwasidenti-
cal with thewell-knownJapanesespecies, Bryaxisfro,ntalisJEANNEL. It wasalso la-
belledwithanundescribednamedifferent fromtheonegivenintheoriginaldescrip-
tion,asintheforegoingcaseofBatrisusantennatus.

Remarks. Thetypeofthisspecieswas found inthesamecollectionofMNHU
astheprobablesyntypesofBatrisusantennatusandBythlnussubseriatus. Itcouldbe
regardedastheholotypebymonotypywithnotaxonomicalproblem,becauseWElsE
commentedonthetypematerial “1Stiick(Mannchen)beiHagiausLaubgesiebt” in
theoriginaldescriptionandthelabellednameiscoincidentwiththat intheoriginal
paper.
要 約
野村周平: wElsE(1877)によって記載された日本産アリッカムシ3種に関する分類学的ノー
ト(ハネカクシ科・アリッカムシ亜科). - WE1sE(1877)が日本 (山口県萩) から記載した
アリッ'カムシ3種について, フンボルト大学自然史博物館 (ドイツ, ベルリン) に所蔵される
タイプ標本に基づく分類学的検討を行なった. BatrisusantennatusWEIsE (のちにBat,・isoplisus属
へ移された) のシンタイプと思われる標本には“Batt・isusau,-icu/atus” (未記載名) と書かれたラ
ベルが付されていた. また, Bythimlssubset・latusWElsE (のちにB,yaxis属に移された) のシン
タイプと思われる標本のラベルには“B、,thinusse・tlattls” (未記載名) と記されていた. 上記2点
は同時に記載されたT1,nestp/1o,・uscostatusWElsEミスジヒゲカタアリッ'カムシ(和名新称) のホ
ロタイプと同じ場所に収納されていた. これらの事実と標本を検討した結果, B antennatusの
置換名であるBa1t1soplisusno,mi,alLoBLはB. tosa11us NoMuRA トサフサヒゲァリッカムシ (和名
新称) の, また本州, 四国, 九州から知られるB1yaxlsf1-onta1/sJEANNELナガオノヒゲアリッカ
ムシはBsubseriatusのそれぞれ下位シノニムであると結論づけられた.
