2.0 ELECTRICAL POW ER SUPPLY DESIGN:

a) Presently, 11kV transmission line is available at approximately 2 km

distance from the proposed plant location.

b) Incoming power supply for the proposed plant shall be tapped from 11kV

transmission line through overhead lines.

c) 11kV incoming overhead lines shall be terminated inside the plant
boundary on a two pole structure and shall be complete with all
accessories LA, Isolators, DO fuse etc. Erection of overhead transmission
line from APDCL substation to proposed Intake site, including two pole
structures at both the ends is included in the scope of contractor.
d) The necessary liaison for obtaining approvals including Load Sanction/
Load Release from Electric Supply Company, NOC from statutory
authorities like Electrical Inspector, Factory Inspector & relevant authorities
as applicable is included in the scope of the Contractor. The necessary
fees (if any) deposited in respect of above work will be borne by
Contractor.
e) Outgoing from two pole structure shall be terminated at the transformer HT
side. Fence shall be provided around the two pole structure and the
transformer yard.
f) Metering panel shall be provided near two pole structure. Contractor shall
ensure that the metering arrangement is as per the APDCL’s (Assam
Power Distribution Company Limited) rules and regulations.
g) Transformer outgoings shall be connected to the LT switchgear located in
electrical room.
h) LT panel will feed LT load of the plant. Electrical loads in pumping station
include pump loads, valves, lighting and receptacle loads, exhaust system,
control system etc.
i) Emergency Diesel Generator shall be used for emergency power supply
backup.
j) Automatic Power Factor Control System shall be used to improve the
power factor of the system.

General
Design of the Expansion Bellow shall take care of the axial, angular or
rotational movement of the bellow and/or the equipment vibration.

Stainless steel construction, carbon steel class 150 flanges, and integral
control rods, with rubber grommets, to prevent over extension. Connector
shall have fixed flanges.

Bellows:
Flexible metal bellows / expansion joints shall be of the two ply bellows type.
The material of the bellows shall be SS 304.
Flanges:
The flanges shall be ANSI 150#. The material of the flanges shall be carbon
steel.
Tie Rods, Grommett and Nuts
The Tie Rods and Nut material shall be ANSI 1020 and grommet shall be
Neoprene.
