(2 9 ) [ 1 ] 2 TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY section 8 of the Kumbakonam City Municipal Corporation Ordinance , 2021 (T amil Nadu Ordinance 7 of 2021 ), the Governor of Tamil Nadu , hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Town Panchayats ,, Municipalities and Corporations (D elimitation of Wards or Divisions and Reservations ) Rules , 1996 : AMENDMENTS In the said Rules , – (1 ) in rule 2 , in clause (1 ) , for the expression "a nd the Thoothukudi City Municipal Corporation Act , 2008 (T amil Nadu Act 27 of 2008 ) in respect of Thoothukudi City Municipal Corporation ", the following expression shall substituted , namely : "t he Thoothukudi City Municipal Corporation Act ,2 008 (T amil Nadu Act 27 of 2008 ) in respect of Thoothukudi City Municipal Corporation , the Thanjavur City Municipal Corporation Act, 2013 (T amil Nadu Act 24 of 2013 ) in respect of Thanjavur City Municipal Corporation , the Dindigul City Municipal Corporation Act, 2013 (T amil Nadu Act 25 of 2013 ) in respect of Dindigul City Municipal Corporation , the Hosur City Municipal Corporation Act , 2019 (T amil Nadu Act 10 of 2019 ) in respect of Hosur City Municipal Corporation , the Nagercoil City Municipal Corporation Act, 2019 (T amil Nadu Act 11 of 2019 ) in respect of Nagercoil City Municipal Corporation ,t he Avadi City Municipal Corporation Act, 2019 (T amil Nadu Act 24 of 2019 ) in respect of Avadi City Municipal Corporation ,t he Cuddalore City Municipal Corporation Ordinance ,2 021 (T amil Nadu Ordinance 1 of 2021 ) in respect of Cuddalore City Municipal Corporation ,t he Kancheepuram City Municipal Corporation Ordinance ,2 021 (T amil Nadu Ordinance 2 of 2021 ) in respect of Kancheepuram City Municipal Corporation ,t he Sivakasi City Municipal Corporation Ordinance , 2021 (T amil Nadu Ordinance 3 of 2021 ) in respect of Sivakasi City Municipal Corporation , the Karur City Municipal Corporation Ordinance , 2021 (T amil Nadu Ordinance 4 of 2021 ) in respect of Karur City Municipal Corporation , the Tambaram City Municipal Corporation Ordinance , 2021 (T amil Nadu Ordinance 5 of 2021 ) in respect of Tambaram City Municipal Corporation and the Kumbakonam City Municipal Corporation Ordinance , 2021 (T amil Nadu Ordinance 7 of 2021 ) in respect of Kumbakonam City Municipal Corporation " ; (2 ) in rule 3, (i) in sub -r ule (1 ) , t he expression “b y the Inspector of, i n the case of' s hall be omitted ; (i )i in the Explanation ,t he expression “o r the Inspector of" shall be omitted ; (3 ) in rule 5, 1 t o sub -r ule (2 ) , t he following proviso shall be added , namely : "P rovided that ,w here after completion of one full term , no ordinary election is held to the offices of the Chairman of Town Panchayats and Municipalities and the Mayor of Corporations before expiry of the ten year period , the reservation to such offices shall be rotated for the next ordinary election in such Town Panchayats ,M unicipalities and Corporations .".
