AMENDMENT TO THE TAMIL NADU MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS CONSTITUTION OF STANDING
COMMITTEES RULES , 1997

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub -s ection (2 ) of section 8 of the Kumbakonam City Municipal Corporation
Ordinance , 2021 (T amil Nadu Ordinance 7 of 2021 ), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby modifies the Tamil Nadu
Municipal Corporations Constitution of Standing Committees Rules , 1997 , by way of making the following amendment to
the said Rules and also directs that the said Rules shall apply to the Kumbakonam City Municipal Corporation , subject
to the modification hereby made :
AMENDMENT .
In the said Rules , in rule 2, for sub -r ule (1 ) , the following sub -r ule shall be substituted , namely :
"( 1 ) In these rules , unless the context otherwise requires ,
(0) "C orporation " means the municipal corporation of Kumbakonam ;
(i )i "C ouncil ” means the council of municipal corporation of Kumbakonam ; and
(i ii) "O rdinance " means the Kumbakonam City Municipal Corporation Ordinance , 2021 (T amil Nadu
Ordinance 7 of 2021 ). " .
