Recently, T. K. visitedTsushimafor investigationofmyrmecophi1ousinsectsandfoundnumerousspecimensof this rarespecies. Thebeetleswerecollectedfromthe nestsofCrematogasterosakensis FOREL, 1900 (Myrmicinae). Sixteen colonies of C. osakensls were investigated, seven of thembeing parasitizedbyT reductus. DuringhisfourdaysofinvestigationinTsushima,T. K.investigated atotalof17speciesofants(totally91colonies),butbeetleswerefoundonlyinthenestsofC osakensls.
