So we limit ourselvestothankingthevariouspeopleandorganizationsthathavehelpedusand madetheworkshopandthisvolumepossible. First and foremost we thank the Department of Mathematics at UCLA for providing all kinds of help and support, organizational, technical, and personal, fortheconference.ToChairProfessorSorinPopaandChiefadministrativeperson JudithLevin goesourgratitude. We wouldlike to thankBabette Daltonwho took care of all the details of the conference; without her wholehearted cooperation and tireless work the workshop could not have been arranged. We thank Jacquie Bauwens for help during the 2 days of the workshop. We are also grateful to the participants, whose lively interest and interactions with one another made the workshop a great success. Last but not least, we thank profusely the people at Springerwhowere mostforthcomingwith theiradvice, technicalandpersonal,as wellastheircooperation, duringthepreparationofthisvolume. Description:
Supersymmetry was created by the physicists in the 1970's to give a unified treatment of fermions and bosons, the basic constituents of matter. Since then its mathematical structure has been recognized as that of a new development in geometry, and mathematicians have busied themselves with exploring
