It takes persistence, strength, the ability to speak freely and, above all, time. But last week justice was finally served – despite an avalanche of opportunities in the months that preceded – and our Prime Minister was held to account. This isn’t just a win for those who felt betrayed by Boris Johnson over Partygate or the many lies that shrouded it, it is a win for democracy, for navigating life with a strong moral compass and for living by the values as a society we teach so young: “Do the right thing”.
