Pronotumwidelyhexagonal,1.36timesaswideaslong; apexsublinear, finely rimmedoneachside,vaguelymarginedinmiddle;basegentlysinuousoneachside, borderedandweaklyridgedinmiddle;sidessteeplydeclinedtolateralmargins,which areproducedandentirelyfinelyridge eachwithatoothslightlybehindthemiddle; frontanglesrounded,hindanglesobtuselyangulate;discgentlyconvex,weakly im- pressedclosetobaseoneachside,weaklydepressedinmedic-basalparts,veryfeebly coveredwithisodiametricmicrosculpture,rathercloselypunctate.Scutellumtriangular with rounded sides, feebly elevated, very weakly covered with isodiametric mi- crosculpture,sparselyscatteredwithmicroscopicpunctures. Elytraelongatedsubovate,1.7timesaslongaswide,3.65timesthelengthand 1.30timesthewidthofpronotum;dorsumlongitudinallyconvex, though attened in medic-basal part, weakly depressed in area along scutellar striole; disc punctate groove 5thgroovedeepenedandtouchingbase,thepuncturessmall, ratherclosely set, becoming smaller posteriad; intervals gently convex, attened posteriad, very weaklycoveredwithisodiametricmicrosculpture,sparselyscatteredwithshallowmi- croscopicpunctures,very feebly, rather transverselywrinkled;humerigentlyswollen; StudyofAsianStrongyliini,XI 403 apicesroundlyproduced. (Figs 5,19-20) Yellowishbrown, antennae, apical halvesof tibiaeandmetepisternadarker in colour, head and pronotum blackish brown withweak dark bluish lustre, elytra in majorpartswithgreenishbluelustre,thoseinantero-media1parts feeblywithgolden greenishlustre,andthoseinpostero-1atera1partsfaintlywithpurplelustre;headand pronotumweakly,sericeouslyshining,scutellumvitreouslyshining,elytrametallically andsomewhatsericeouslyshining, ventral surface rather alutaceouslyshining, legs moderately shining;eachsurfacealmost glabrous. Elongated fusiform, longitudinally convex,thoughweakly attenedinantero-media1partsofelytra.
