Jones, Clinical Hypnotherapist, here with Abhishek Agarwal. Now, Abhishek is a regular fun loving guy-next-door kind of guy, except that at the age of 16, he accidentally stumbled upon the concept of Astral Projection. The entire concept intrigued him and put him in awe. After several months of trying and almost quitting, he finally had his first projection - and that changed his life forever. Now at age 32, he has been astral traveling for 15 years. And he loves to see people overcome their fears and mental blocks, so that they too, can experience the reality outside their physical bodies. Abhishek has created a 5- part video series containing answers to 240 Astral Projection questions. Abhishek, it’s an honor to have you here today! Abhi: Thank you, Steve. Same here! Steve: Well, I want to jump right into the questions, because so many people have questions about Astral Projection. And you, for the past 15 years, have been practicing Astral Projection, and you represent what people can do, if they really get serious about this. So if it’s all right with you, I want to jump right now on some questions. Abhi: Sure. Steve: Okay. First of all, can you give us some tips on how to prepare yourself for Astral Projection? Abhi: Sure, Steve. You see, Astral Projection is an art that anybody can master. But it does require some preparation – some mental setup before you can actually move ahead with the practice exercises. Like Attracts Like First of all, you need to keep in mind that one rule that is predominant in the astral world is - “like-attracts-like”. And if you Astral Project with a negative frame of mind that is what you will attract - negative experiences. And if you Astral Project with a positive state of mind, that’s what you will attract - positive experiences. So before you start your Astral Projection exercises, make sure that you are in a www.AstralProjectNow.com Page 2 3 Steve G Jones Interviews Abhishek Agarwal very, very positive state of mind. You should not harbor any negative feelings like anger, hatred, irritation, doubt or any other such negative emotions. You should deal with all your worries that occupy your mind at that moment. If you cannot solve your worries, then put them in an imaginary box and get to them later. If you feel you just cannot stop worrying about your things and you just cannot stop thinking about them, then you might as well stop here, because you will not be able to relax. And maybe this is not the right day for you to practice. So you can try on some other day. Practice Undisturbed If you have a positive state of mind, you next have to make sure that the room where you are practicing, is a room where you can practice undisturbed. You should switch off your mobile phones, ask all other members of your family not to disturb you for some time. If you’ve got pets or kids around, ask somebody else to take care of them. The basic point is to make sure that you can practice undisturbed. Avoid Darkness Another very important thing which you should keep in mind is that if you are new to Astral Projection, you might have an unconscious or a subconscious fear of the dark. So try avoiding practicing at night, because if you practice during the night, you might have the unknown fear, that might prevent you from projecting. So try projecting during the daytime. If you do have to practice during night, I highly recommend you have dim lights on, so that they do not hurt your eyes, but at the same time the room is completely visible. Wear Loose Clothing You should also be comfortable – you should wear loose clothing, so that you can breathe easily and you can feel comfortable. You can also remove other ornaments that you are wearing like jewelry, watches or spectacles, because they will make you feel more comfortable and more relaxed. Temperature You also should make sure that the temperature is comfortable. If you are feeling too warm or too cold, then you will not be able to relax. So make sure that the room temperature is optimum. You might also consider having a blanket nearby, because generally while www.AstralProjectNow.com Page 3 4 Steve G Jones Interviews Abhishek Agarwal projecting, the body losses heat. So covering yourself with a blanket will make you feel more comfortable. Empty Your Bladder You can also consider emptying your bladder. You can go to the washroom and relieve yourself, because you don’t want these little things to distract you. Diet As far as diet is concerned, I seriously feel you should avoid fried food, any kind of meat, caffeine or any other alcohol, at least for a few hours before you practice. And if you can avoid these kinds of food throughout the day, nothing like it – that’s great. These foods tend to hyperactivate your digestive system and restrict you from proper concentration. You should also avoid practicing with a full stomach, because your chances of having successful OBE will be greatly diminished. Best Position Some people ask me, “What is the best position to practice?” You see, that completely depends upon what you are most comfortable with. Some people are comfortable sitting on a chair and then practicing, and some people like me - they are comfortable while lying down on their backs. I feel lying down is more comfortable, because it’s a very natural posture and it makes people feel relaxed. So whatever position you are comfortable with, you can go ahead with that. If you follow these preliminary points, it will put you in the right frame of mind physically as well as mentally and greatly enhance your chances of achieving a successful projection. Steve: Well that sounds perfect. I think that a lot of our listeners are perhaps wondering where on the checklist, they perhaps missed a thing or two and that was very thorough. So thank you Abhishek for that! The next thing I want to talk about will be the symptoms that you must be aware of while practicing. Can you enlighten us about that? www.AstralProjectNow.com Page 4 5 Steve G Jones Interviews Abhishek Agarwal Abhi: Sure, Steve. You see before a person starts his astral practice, it is very important to know what to expect along the way, because if you do not know what to expect, you will never know whether you are on track or not. You see, sometimes we are closer than we think. I always tell about this particular story of a drowning man, who lost hope, because he just couldn’t see the land. He was swimming ashore, but he couldn’t see the land. He lost hope and he stopped swimming, even though the shore was just a mile away. It was so close. But he didn’t know how close he was. Most people are like that. They quit too soon, because they don’t see immediate results. But if you know what signposts to expect along the way, you will know that you are on track. So it is very important that you listen to these particular signposts because this will make you feel more confident while you are practicing, and will boost your self-confidence knowing that you are on track. Vibrations The first most important symptom that you can experience are the vibrations. You might have heard about it, or maybe not. But vibrations are the most common symptoms and you should be fully prepared for it. When you experience vibrations, this is how you will feel - You will feel as if your entire body has been electrocuted from head to toe. But relax! This is not painful at all. But it is definitely a very discomforting feeling. But you will get used to it once you experience it a couple of times. You see, these vibrations are not physical vibrations. These vibrations are felt, because these are the vibrations of your astral body. And if you achieve the vibration stage make sure you don’t panic. Most people who are new, who are not aware what vibrations are - they panic. They feel something wrong is happening to them! But then, this is a very, very positive symptom and when you achieve the vibration stage, you should rejoice, because this is the stage just prior to actual exit of your astral body. So make sure you are aware of what vibrations feel like. Astral Paralysis Next very important symptom is getting a feeling of paralysis - as if your entire body is completely paralyzed. You will feel as if somebody has cemented your body on to the bed! www.AstralProjectNow.com Page 5 6 Steve G Jones Interviews Abhishek Agarwal This is a stage where even if you try to move a finger or a toe you will not be able to do that. You will be so stiff, you will feel as if somebody is there trying to throttle you or maybe somebody is there who is sitting on your chest. All those symptoms are symptoms of astral paralysis. But again, just like vibrations, this is a perfectly safe symptom and astral paralysis means you are very, very close to the actual exit. Buzzing Sounds Another very common symptom is hearing buzzing sounds or other sounds as well - like gun shot or maybe you can hear voices - you can hear people speaking. All these sounds are again very common. Because when you are practicing, you often tune into the astral frequencies. So hearing these sounds is perfectly safe and perfectly normal. These sounds are temporary and subside once the separation process is complete. So again do not get alarmed by these sounds and they are perfectly safe. Increased Heartbeat Another very common symptom, which I suffered a lot with, was increased heartbeat. You see, having a rapid heartbeat is a very common symptom. This happens because your heart chakra gets activated. And sometimes it happens because either you get too excited or because of fear. But in either case just remain calm, because if you get excited you will not be able to project. The key here is to remain calm, no matter what symptoms you are experiencing. Just remain calm and all the symptoms will subside. Floating Sensation When you are very close to projecting, you will have a very nice feeling - as if you are floating or as if you are swaying. You will feel very light. These sensations - you get these sensations because this is a point where your astral body starts to separate from the physical. A very positive symptom proving that your astral body has kind of “loosened” from your physical confines! This floating sensation can often get your astral body back into your physical in a snap if you try to move. But stay still, enjoy the feeling. And if you stick with that feeling, soon you will find yourself completely outside your body. These were couple of symptoms that you might experience. There are several more, but I have listed only the ones that are most common. And just be aware of them, so that next time when you experience something similar you know that you are on track. www.AstralProjectNow.com Page 6 7 Steve G Jones Interviews Abhishek Agarwal Steve: Well that is perfect advice, and again, very thorough. And I thank you for that thoroughness. Some of our listeners are having Astral Projection experiences and they are not recalling them. They actually had the experience and maybe they recall part of it, but not all of it, and in some cases they don’t recall any of it. So we want to give them something and I was hoping that you could enlighten us about that - about some tips on how to recall your astral experiences. Abhi: You see Steve, many of us have had great astral adventures, but most of us unfortunately, forget all about our experiences, when we are back in our physical bodies. I often hear people say – “But I never dream!” That is never the case. We all dream. But the only problem here is that most of us do not remember our dreams. Same with astral experiences. Most of us have had astral experiences, but we do not know how to recall them. And if you look at it in one way, what is the use of projecting, if we cannot recall whatever we’ve experienced? There is no point, because so much of good information has been lost. So it is imperative that we learn to remember our astral experiences. And the single most important thing you should do towards achieving that goal is to maintain an astral journal. This is the place where you note down all your out-of- body-experiences. I’ll just enlist a few tips that will drastically improve your ability to recall your astral experiences and dreams. Just as I mentioned earlier if you are having affirmations – affirmations are very powerful to tell your subconscious about what you want. As you speak sternly, tell yourself several times that you will remember your dreams – that you will remember, and after a few days you will realize that your dream recall has increased drastically. So make sure you use affirmations, because they will do you a lot of good. One very important point that I would like to make - and make sure if you take anything away from this interview, take this point - Always keep a paper and a pen next to your pillow. Whenever you get up from a dream, maybe at night or in the morning, this pen and paper will help you to immediately jot it down before you forget. Do not make the mistake of not writing it down. No matter how clear or vivid your dream is, they have a weird tendency to fade away as the day passes. So make sure you note down your dream immediately. Otherwise you will forget it completely. www.AstralProjectNow.com Page 7 8 Steve G Jones Interviews Abhishek Agarwal Even I’m guilty of this. When I was practicing in my initial days, I used to feel that whatever dreams I have dreamt, I will be writing it down later. But then somehow the dreams are so fleeting, it’s highly probable that you will forget your dreams. So make sure you note it down. Even if you are feeling lazy just make sure you note down at least your dreams. And to help with that, you keep your pen and paper next to your pillow, because if you keep it far away, you will need to get out of your bed and this may cause you to forget your dream or maybe you become too lazy to get up and again get back to sleep. So make sure your pen and paper are handy with you. So whenever you have a dream, whenever you get up from a dream, simply note it down. And in the morning when you wake up, do not immediately get up from your bed and don’t move. Continue lying down and with your eyes closed, and try to recollect your dreams. If you get up and move around before recalling your dreams, you will find that just a few minutes of your day-to-day activity will blur your dream memories. As I said earlier dreams memories have got a weird characteristic of fading away. So make sure you write down your dreams as soon as you get up. Once you start working on your dream recall, many times during the day you will suddenly get flashes of dreams that you failed to recollect in the morning. Immediately note them down and for this I strongly suggest you keep a writing pad and a pen ready in your pocket, because you don’t want to fumble around for a pen and pad, and you don’t want to miss that dream. These actions, as you try to work on these points - you will be sending a message to your subconscious that you are very serious about remembering your dreams and your astral experiences. So in return, your subconscious will reward you by helping you recall your dreams. So make sure you use these points to your benefit. And in order to successfully write down all your dreams you have to besot your mind, you have to saturate your mind with thoughts of dreams – with thoughts of Astral Projection. You can do so by reading about Astral Projection and talking about them. Or maybe you could watch a movie or a documentary on dreams and Astral Projection. The more you read and think about dreams, the more you will dream and the better your chances will be of recollecting them. And if you are outside your body and when you are just about to re-enter your body, affirm to yourself - at least in the first few times - when you are out - affirm to yourself that you will remember, you will remember. And you will remember. www.AstralProjectNow.com Page 8 9 Steve G Jones Interviews Abhishek Agarwal Because if you do not do that once you are back in your body again, it’s very easy to forget what you’ve experienced. So affirm to yourself whenever you are out that you will remember. Just have that thought in the back of your head. Never lose focus of that thought. If you follow these steps, you will soon be able to recollect your dreams with better clarity and you will start remembering not just one or two, but multiple dreams every night. And you see, remembering dreams is a very good habit. It will help you not just with Astral Projection, but will even give you insights about yourself; it will also help you with creative problem solving. Steve: Well that is perfect. I’m a big fan of journaling and a big fan of affirmations. As a hypnotherapist I believe affirmations are probably one of the best things we can do for ourselves. So many things we hear are negative in the world and so many of the thoughts we get are negative - and affirmations are just great in general and in particular they are great in Astral Projection, and in helping you recall your experiences. So thank you for that. I appreciate that. Now Abhishek, I want to ask you about fears. You know, so many people who get into Astral Projection - and I’m sure you remember this at in 16 when you started getting into it - so many people have fears, it’s the unknown, it’s a world that they maybe have limited experience with consciously, even though subconsciously they’ve been Astral Projecting for a while, consciously its new to them. They are afraid of it – it’s a big void. I remember when I got into it at about the age that you got into it. It’s just a big void, it seems like a big empty space that’s dark and it can be kind of scary. So people have fears. I want you to share with us some tips on overcoming fears of Astral Projection. Abhi: You are absolutely right, Steve, because it is very natural for people to fear Astral Projection, because it is an unknown, uncharted and totally unfamiliar territory. But anybody who is venturing into the realms of astral travel, they need to keep in mind that fear is one major element that can greatly hamper a person’s success. If you remember, when I learned about Astral Projection, I was unable to project for the first few months because of fear. So I completely relate with people, because I have gone through the same fears. But you need to keep in mind that a person who is venturing into this needs to face his fear. Because it is the only way you can succeed. And as soon as you face your fear you will realize that fear is nothing but an illusion. And there is nothing www.AstralProjectNow.com Page 9 10 Steve G Jones Interviews Abhishek Agarwal to fear actually in the first place. And once you confront your fears a few times you will no longer be afraid of them. Here, I would like to give you a very real life example and just don’t laugh at the example, because this is an example that involves me. You see I have always been afraid of swimming I’m not sure whether you know how to swim or not, but I did not. And I have always been afraid of swimming. But at the same time, I used to envy people who could swim. I always thought “How nice it could be if I could swim too”! I tried several times, but whenever I got into the water, I used to cling to the wall of the swim pool and never let go. Although there was a trainer and I knew that I would not drown, I was still afraid. I used to chicken out every single time I entered the pool! But just about a month and a half ago, I really decided to face my fears. It was such a strong determination, I said whatever may come, I will be facing my fears. And I decided to trust my trainer and simply let go. You see that was a turning point, and in just about ten minutes my fear of swimming was completely gone - and it was the first time I actually realized that even I could swim! This was such an exhilarating experience! People who are listening to this interview might feel swimming is no big deal. Now I know it is no big deal. But for a person who doesn’t know swimming, it is a big deal for him. I’m still learning how to swim, but I have conquered my fear and I know it is just a matter of time and practice before I will get better at it. And now, whenever I go to my gym in the morning, I really look forward to taking a plunge. And I’m now completely in love with swimming. Just a few mental exercises, where I told myself, that I have to face my fears that did the trick. You see, it is the same with Astral Projection. We often love the idea - we tell ourselves “How nice it would be to Astral Project”. But we still harbor those fears, we never let go. And we cling to our physical bodies in the same way as I clung to the walls of the swimming pool. You see, the day you really face your fears, you will know that fear is just an illusion and you have to overcome it, if you want to succeed. I will be giving you a few tips right now to help you to overcome your fears, but just keep in mind - nothing can substitute real experience. You have to face your fears.
