This is not a recorded Notice of Completion. Addendum -Written or graphic instruments issued prior to the opening of bids which clarify, correct or change the bidding or the contract documents. The term Addendum shall include bulletins and all other types of written notices issued to potential bidders prior to opening of bids. Agency - Any City, County, or special district which has adopted these specifications and has jurisdiction over the work being performed. This term also includes properly authorized agents of the Agency Engineer acting within the scope of their authority. Agency Project -A project constructed by others under a contract with and paid for by an Agency or Force Account work paid for by an Agency. Base - A layer of specified material of planned thickness placed immediately below pavement or surfacing. Bidder - Any individual, firm, corporation, or agent thereof submitting a proposal for work. Bid Guaranty -The cash, certified check or bidder's surety bond accompanying the bid as a guaranty that the bidder will enter into a contract with the Governing Body for the performance of the Work. Bond - Bid. performance and payment bond or other instrument of security. Change Order - A written order to the Contractor-signed·bythe"Agency·d.irectingan addition, deletion or revision in the work, or an adjustment in the contract price or the contract time issued after the effective date of the contract. A change order mayor may not be signed by the Contractor. Code -The term Government Code, Labor Code, etc. refer to codes of the State of California. Contract - A written agreement governing the performance of work and the furnishing of plant, labor, tools, equipment and materials. Contractor -The person, persons, copartnership or corporation who has entered into a contract with an Agency or any Contractor performing work which is governed by Agency permit or agreement. Contract Price -The total amount of money for which the contract is awarded. Contract Unit Price -The amount stated in the bid for a single unit of an item of work. 0-1
