STAN is primarily based on member countries’ annual national accounts by economic activity tables compiled according to the recommendations of System of National Accounts 2008 (SNA08). Previous versions of STAN (from 2000) were based on SNA93 statistics. Missing detail is estimated using data from other sources such as results from national industrial surveys/censuses. Many data points in STAN are estimated and are flagged as such; they do not represent official member countries’ submissions. The data according to different versions of ISIC classification are published in the following database: OECD (2017), STAN: OECD Structural Analysis Statistics (database), http://dx.doi.org/10.1787/ stan-data-en.
