Description:In 1971 the Institution of Structural Engineers published a report on the Stability of modem buildings as a result of its conference on industrialized buildings, the collapse of prefabricated buildings under erection at Aldershot and the aftermath of the tragic accident at Ronan Point.. That report was largely concerned with high-rise construction, and it was in 1984 that the Institution formed a Committee to prepare a successor to deal with stability ofalltvpes of building whether lush or low rise.
