Fall enrollment opportunities are still available at Nunez Community College Nunez Community College will be offering a Fast Lane 2 session beginning on Wednesday, October 11. Registration for the eight- week Fast Lane 2 semester is open now and will remain open through the start of classes in October. “Fast Lane courses are complete classes offered in half the usual time. With our Fast Lane sessions, the next opportunity to enroll is always only a few weeks away. Students don’t have to wait to start or continue their education,” said Tonia Loria, dean of academic af- fairs. In addition to a regular 16-week semester, Nunez offers two eight- week Fast Lane sessions each fall and spring. By scheduling courses this way, Nunez can accommodate students who want to complete their programs more quickly. Starting Fast Lane 2 half-way into the regular semester also creates another enrollment period for students who missed the traditional start date. Fall 2017 Fast Lane courses include subjects from English litera- ture to business communication, and from classical theater to so- ciology. Many Fast Lane courses are also offered online. For addi- tional information on Fast Lane 2 offerings and enrollment visit www. nunez.edu/how-to-register. 4 Arrests & State News Wednesday, August 30, 2017 - The St. Bernard News Arrests St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office ARABI Lafeyette Crt., Fugitive (4) Battery Charbonet Str., Fugitive (2) • Kyle Caygle, 27, 208 Cougar, • Darren M.
