Monday and Tuesday have normal pick up, while Wednesday has no pickup, so all trash is pushed back a day from Wednesday to Thursday, etc., until Saturday. • Labor Day – Monday, September 3 All trash and recycling will be picked up one day later than normal. • Thanksgiving – Thursday, November 22 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday have normal pickup. What is storm water? WHAT YOU MAY NOT KNOW Storm water is water from precipitation that flows across the ground and pavement when it rains or when snow and ice melt. The front of your mailbox is to be set approximately 8 inches behind the edge of the roadway or 2 inches behind the back of your curbing. The height of the mailbox is 42 inches from the top of the roadway to the bottom of the box. All mailboxes that are not mounted properly will not be the responsibility of the Township if they are hit by the Township snow plows. Please see the diagram below. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. You should install the mailbox with the bottom of the box at a vertical height of between 41-45 inches from the road surface, unless you have a road or curb condition that prevents this. If you do have an issue, be sure to contact the postmaster before you change your mailbox location.
