Dobbs-Weinstein argues that two radically opposed notions of temporality and history are at stake for these thinkers, an onto-theological future-oriented one, and a political one ori- entedtothepastforthesakeofthepresentor,moreprecisely, forthesakeofactivelyresistingthepersistentbarbarismatthe heartofculture.
