Definitions,diagnosis,andtreatmentshavebeenvigorouslydebatedfordecades,withtheuseof IQtestsattractingparticularcontroversy.However,inrecenttimestherehavebeenmanyother newassessmenttools devisedfor measuringintelligenceand neuropsychologicalfunctioning, extendingwellbeyondthescopeofWechsler’sscales.Inthiscutting-edgesurvey,aninterna- tionalteamofleadersinthefieldexaminestheavailablemethods.Manyofthecontributorsare themselvesthedevelopersofthemostrecentassessmenttests.
