Edmond President Greetings! On behalf of Executive Secretary Humphrey, Treasurer Palmer, workers of the South Central Conference, Mrs. Edmond, and I welcome you to the 65th Camp- meeting of our conference. We are very grateful for your presence and continued sup- port of the South Central Conference. Our theme is We Still Believe! Nearly 170 years ago, our spiritual forefathers were used by God to form the organization known as the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It was founded on the principles and doctrines that are in the Word of God. We want to boldly and unequivocally declare that we still believe those doctrines. Though many years have come and gone since we first began preaching those doctrines, we still believe. Though we may have to change the method that we use to proclaim those doctrines, we must never change the message, we still believe. Auldwin Humphrey And even though it seems those doctrines are under attack from without, and some- Executive Secretary times, from within, our church, we still believe. We believe that because what we believe in is based totally on “Thus saith the Lord”, we believe these doctrines just as much to- day as when we first began believing, we still believe. This week, we shall listen to God’s servants declare those doctrines from the Word of God. Recent events remind us anew that both our church and our world need what the Lord has given the Seventh-day Adventist Church to preach, now, more than ever. For who can look at the unprecedented events of the past few weeks and really doubt that soon, “He that shall come”, really will come, “and will not tarry?” May what the Lord allows us to experience at this Campmeeting make us more pre- pared for that day. Thank you for your kindness and for your prayers. Please do not allow a single day to pass without praying for Mrs. Edmond and for me. Philip Palmer Treasurer Blessings On You and Yours, Elder D. C.
