Thenewspeciesisalsosimilarto 0)cycentrus(s.str)melas(ScHMIDT-GoBEL), but is distinguished from the latter, in addition to the characters mentioned above, by thebody wider and brownish in color instead of being black, the pronotummore thickly bordered, and theelytrabearing reddish margins and sutural intervalsinsteadofbeingblack. This new species is somewhat similar to 0)cycentrus (s. str) algutoroides (BATES),but iseasilydistinguished fromthelatterbytheantennaeslenderer, the pronotumwider, theapicesof foretibiaemoredeeplyincisedinexternalhalves andthetarsislenderer,besidesthesubgenericcharacteristics. Orycentrlls(0xycentro-s')aeMtl'penm'ssp nov. (Figs 4,9) This new speciesresembles Oxycentrus (0xycentropsts)gracilitarsis, but is different fromthelatter inhavingthebodysmaller,theeyeslessprominent, the pronotum lesstransverseandsharper at basal angles,and thesuturalanglesof elytra not rounded. Thenew species isalso allied to Ox;ycentrus(s.str)melas (ScHMIDT-GoBEL), but is distinguished from thelatter, inaddition to thesub- genericcharacteristics,bythesidesofpronotumnotsinuatebeforebase,theelytra not toothedathumeralanglesandwithsharpsuturalangles,andthetibiaemuch slenderer. Pronotumsubqudrate,weaklycontractedforwardsandbackwards,withsides rather thickly bordered,sparsely punctate in basal foveae. Hind wingsentire. Elytrasubpara11e1-sided, ratherconvex,notpunctate;scutellarstrictoveryshort. Sixthabdominalsegment in bisetose on eachside.
