He has worked in mental health hostels, and as a social worker and senior social worker in a social services department. He has undertaken research on adolescents' perceptions of social work, on intermediate treatment, and on neighbourhood work, and he continues to work with chil- dren in trouble. He is author of ?Fun and Therapy: con- sumer and social worker perceptions of intermediate treat- ment1 (National Youth Bureau, 1979), and he is co-author of 'Intermediate Treatment and Social Work' (Heinemann, 1979). COLIN PRITCHARD is Senior Lecturer, and Director of Social Work Studies, at the University of Bath. He has worked in adult and child psychiatry, and was previously Lecturer in Psychiatric Social Work at the University of Leeds. He has undertaken research on school phobia, on the relationships between social workers and teachers, and on the CND movement. He is involved in in-service train- ing for social work supervisors and managers, and contin- ues to work as a counsellor. He is co-author of 'Social Work: Reform or Revolution?1 (Routledge & Kegan Paul, 1978) and of 'The Protectors - CND Twenty Years On' (Pergamon, 1980). JACK DUNHAM is Lecturer in Social Psychology at the University of Bath. He has previously worked in schools, child guidance clinics, and with the Bristol Aeroplane Com- pany.
