Purpose of Amendment 1.1. The Purpose of this Amendment is to update the USAID/Ukraine PERSUAP per Activities 5.15 and 5.16 of DCN: 2016-UKR-002. 1.2. All conditions of the original IEE and Amendments remain in effect. With this Amendment, all existing reporting requirements shall remain in place. 1.3. All activities in the agricultural portfolio performed their work in compliance with IEEs and Amendments. When drafting legislation and policy regulations, the implementing partners encouraged the assisted government authorities to integrate environmental considerations into the proposed legislation in line with the best international (EU compatible) approaches and practices. Nine (9) Environmental Review Checklists (ERCs) for environmental and social consequences related to policy development initiatives were prepared. Sixteen (16) ERCs and Environmental Mitigation and Monitoring Plans (EMMPs) were prepared and approved. Twenty (20) credit unions were trained in implementation of a standardized environmental review procedure for credit unions to ensure that their loans are in compliance with Ukrainian laws and regulations regarding environmental protection. 2017 USAID/Ukraine - Pesticide Evaluation Report and Safe Use Action Plan (PERSUAP) DCN: 2018-UKR-044 1.4.
