The primary goal of the conference is to promote research and developmentalactivities in computer science, information technology,computa- tional engineering, image and signal processing, and communication. Another goalis to promote scientific informationinterchangebetween researchers,devel- opers, engineers, students, and practitioners working in Egypt and abroad. The conference is held every year to make it an ideal platform for people to share views and experiences. Following tradition, the program contained keynote addresses by Ezendu Ariwa (London Metropolitan University, UK) “Trends in Cloud Computing” and Yogesh Chaba on the subject “Micro Waves for Industrial Scientific and Medical Applications (ISM).” The conference received 298 submissions overall. Only 50 papers were accepted and registered for the proceedings. Efforts were made to remove errors and to improve the quality of the pro- ceedings. The conference organizer and I are very confident that you will find the papers included in the proceedings very useful. We believe that technology will continue to infuse education, thus enriching the educational experience of both students and teachers. Organizing a conference like this one is not possible without the assistance and continuous support of many people and institutions. Particularly, I would like to express my gratitude to the organizers of sessions on dedicated topics that took place during the conference. IalsothankDr.Pessent,Prof.P.M.Thankachan,andDr.JanahanlalaStephen for the constant support and guidance. I would like to express my gratitude to the Springer LNICST editorial team for producing such a wonderful quality proceedings book. October 2011 Vinu V.
