Description:Siddhartha Ravindra Dharane, an engineer by profession and an artist by passion. Considered radical in his work, Siddhartha continues to garner reverence for his technical mastery, visionary creativity and profound empathy. He picked up taste in art in his early childhood. Early in his career Siddhartha participated in many painting competitions. However, his first National level championship changed his life and he started developing his skills. Siddhartha Dharane is renowned for endlessly reinventing himself, switching between styles so radically that his work seems to be the product of multiple artists rather than just one. His narrative paintings, executed in a modified realistic style, can be caustic and playful as well as serious and somber. His themes, sometimes treated in series, include topics as diverse as nature, wildlife, historical architectures, monuments and motifs of Indian urban and rural life. He enjoys depicting the lively and free spirit of mythology in many of his works.
