The thing about emergencies is that you Online never know when or in what form they will strike, so you have to be prepared. And prepared we are, thanks in large part to the Shaker Heights Health Department and its partner, the Fire Department. With expertise and a calm public voice, the Shaker Heights Health Department stepped in to steady the nerves of residents worried about contracting Ebola. Years of emergency preparedness planning enabled staff to act swiftly. Within hours, the Epidemiological Response Plan protocol was initiated, and well-established plans to address possible exposure were underway. Health Department staff coordinated with public health partners across the region and convened multi- departmental meetings within the City to review all roles Living in and responsibilities, including communications protocol and the specifics of transporting infected patients, if a Healthy necessary. The fun starts on Saturday at 10 am and goes until 10 pm (artist booths close at 8 pm), and continues on Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. Bands include Blue Lunch, Red Light Roxy, and Cats On Holiday. This year, the Craft Fair component of the Festival will include Shop Shaker and Beyond, a focus on artisans with local roots. Don’t miss this opportunity to give local talent some love. Construction to reconfigure roads and to redevelop the Van Aken district is responsible for the relocation, but the plan is to return permanently to a redeveloped and welcoming Van Aken as soon as it’s ready for us.
