Neighborhood Learning Centres West Shore Parks & Recreation is proud to offer programming at the Neighbourhood Learning Centres in both Belmont and Royal Bay Secondary Schools. The Neighborhood Learning Centre (NLC) at Belmont School is a community services shared space. West Shore Parks & Recreation programs will take place in a large multi-purpose room with amazing natural light and an attached kitchen. Expect to find a variety of general programs for all ages including cooking and safety classes. Camosun College, Island Health, and a Child Care Centre provided by Pacific Centre Family Services Association will also offer services in the NLC. West Shore Parks & Recreation is operating the entire NLC at Royal Bay School which includes a dedicated youth room, a large multipurpose room, and a licensed preschool space. At Royal Bay you can look forward to youth drop-in programming, children's music classes, a licensed 10 Month Preschool program and more to come. Beginning in the fall West Shore Parks & Recreation will have both part-time and full-time programming staff on-site.
