Preview Senior School Alibi, 2005

Digitized by the Internet Archive in 2018 with funding from Albert College https://archive.org/details/seniorschoolal2005albe ■ ^■Sfpf mm Published in Canada Printed in USA For five years we have toiled in relative obscurity. Some years we would start out with a bang, maybe winning senior and junior soccer. The cheers would reverberate through the Chapel when the House League Prefect announced that Graham was in the lead. But later, we would come crashing down to earth. Bishop would usually prevail in the end. With their red shirts and ultra-confident attitude, it was very hard to be good losers. This year, however, it all changed. In this, my last at Albert College, Graham prevailed to win the closest House League Competition in years. That will be my crowning memory from this year! I will never forget the fun we had returning to camp Wanakita and the fabulous job of organizing activities that the Camp Committee performed. Who can forget the sight of Mr. Churchill, Mr. Leeder and Mr. Harris (of all people after last year’s broken neck), huddled on a small platform some 40 feet above the ground. The prefects managed to scare the wits out of me with their impressions of dead inmates in an ancient asylum for the Halloween Haunted House tour. I will not forget the cold at Mount Tremblant or the picture of our students who rose early in the morning in New York City to get a spot on the set of Regis and Kelly. Convocation provides the last memory of a great year where students achieved their utmost and where student leadership came to the forefront. I want to extend thanks on your behalf to the people that have prepared this yearbook. They have spent their time taking pictures, cajoling write-ups and working on layout. It is their hard work that has brought this memento to life. Thanks to all of the members of the yearbook committee, especially the editors, Catherine Rice, Brock Young and Danielle Letersky. Special thanks to Mr. Guse, Ms. Woloshyn and Mr. Childs for all of their work in supervising and taking pictures. For those of you lucky enough to be a member of Graham House, this was a sweet victory. For the rest of you, enjoy your other memories. GO GRAHAM! Their dedication, hard work and attention to detail allow Albert College to run efficiently from orientation to convo¬ cation. Dave Adams, Scott McMurter, Tania Harris, John Schell, Ray Shan¬ non, Brenda Preston, and Barb Wood are always ready to meet the challenges presented to them with friendly professionalism. The maintenance department not only maintains the school buildings but also assists the staff and students with every aspect of school life including play productions, musical performances, athletics, science fairs, formal dinners... the list is endless. Without them, Albert could not run as smoothly and as well as it does.
