The notes are only the New Jersey State issues from 1776 to 1786. I have tried to create a census of each series (for the March 25th, 1776 issue I only keep track of the Hart signed notes) by keeping track of the serial numbers and the signatures of each note. For some notes the serial numbers or signatures are not completely visible. I also keep track of the order of the signatures on the notes when possible this makes it easier to read the serial number because it appears that the first signer is also the person who inscribed the serial number. I am hoping you can supply information on Notes in your collection for my database. I also think this would be a good information tool for those collecting colonial currency, to that end, is it possible for the next update of your Colonial Currency book to include some of this information. I think at least the lowest and highest serial numbers of each issue could be included. If you like the idea maybe C-4 and EAC could ask their members to help do this for the other issues. Hope to hear from you about this project. By the way I always expect Eric P. Newman to be around to update his wonderful Colonial Currency book, because you have been all my life. I wish I lived closer to St. Louis, if I did I am sure I would have spent much time at your Museum. Sincerely, P. You have done more to energize numismatic research than anyone I know. I only wish that our paths had crossed more often, my loss. Sincerely, Scott P. Scott Rubin
