These arrangements operate under the National Health Act 1953. However, at the time of printing, the relevant legislation giving authority for the changes included in this issue of the Schedule may still be subject to the usual Parliamentary scrutiny. This book is not a legal document, and, in cases of discrepancy, the legislation will be the source document for payment for the supply of pharmaceutical benefits. 3 CONTENTS Page Page SUMMARY OF CHANGES...............................................5 Repeat authorisations.......................................................38 ADDRESSES — MEDICARE AUSTRALIA...................15 Preparing repeat authorisation forms.................38 AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION APPLICATIONS...........16 Repeat authorisations for deferred supply..........38 REQUESTS FOR DRUGS VIA THE SPECIAL Authority PBS prescriptions.......................................39 ACCESS SCHEME (SAS)........................................16 Urgent cases..............................................................39 POISONS INFORMATION CENTRES...........................17 Receipts......................................................................39 DRUG INFORMATION CENTRES.................................17 Emergency drug (doctor's bag) supplies...................39 LIST OF CONTACT OFFICERS FOR RECALLS OF THERAPEUTIC GOODS ..........................................18 4.
