ABSTRACT
A new nan>e Sabazia lapsensis, is provided for a later homonym of
Sabaziabreedlovei.

K. Gandhi, "keeper" ofthe Gray Card Index, Harvard University, has called to
my attention a grievous lapse in my recent description of Sabazia breedlovei, a
proposednewspeciesfromGuerrero,Mexico,notingthatIhadalready used the latter
name(basedupon adifferenttype, Turner 1976) for aChiapan species, although the
latterwassubsequentlytransferredtothegenusAlepidocline(Turner 1990). In short,
Sabazia breedloveiB.L. Turner (1997) is a later homonym of 5. breedlovei (1976)
andisthereforeillegitimate.
