John H.tynch Governor RYE BEACH DISTRICT Commissioners Report To the Residents ofRye Beach Village District: We have been ambitious with the budget this year! To explain-2005 had many ups and downs. The lights on South Road went out in Novemberand are, only now, being fully restored. These outages werecaused by freezing/thawing or rocks shifting. During this time we have hired a new electrician and things are beginning to look up. We apologize for the inconve- nience but it was completely out ofourcontrol. To keep up ourbeautiful Precinct Building, it was necessary to do some mainte- nance. The work was more extensive than we anticipated, therefore, we were unabletorepairanysidewalks. But,wehaverestoredonesideofourbuildingand we hopetofinish theprojectthisyear. The squirrelswill nolongerhave anentry! Now that we know what we are facing, we can get back to sidewalk repairs. Brad Richards and his dedicated board members have persevered, and the long awaited Master Plan, has been accomplished. You should see it at the annual meeting. Copies are available forpurchase. TheRyeDriftwoodGardenClubwentbeyondwonderful.Theyplantedshrubsand holly bushes at the front ofthe Precinct building.
