‘The Kern County Sheriffs Cfice ("KCSO" is in receipt of your emailed request, under the California
Puble Recards Act, for recards releted to IMSI-Catcher Equipment, dated January 10, 2019.

Kern County Sheriffs Office will need additional time to respond to your request. California
Government Gade 6253(c) allows for additional time to respond te 2 public records request in
unusual circumstances.” The "unusual circumstances that exist are the following:

(1) The need to search for and collect the requested records ftom field facilties or
other establishments that are separate from the office processing the request.

(2) The need to search for, collect, and appropriately exemine a voluminous amount of
Separate and distinct records that are demanded in @ single request.
