Speciesnotlistedfromthe region in thatCatalogue, andthathavenotappeared insubsequent publications, are considered new records. Three short lists (Foxlee 1941, 1944; Hine 1904), overlookedandnotinthe 1965Catalogue,arealsoincludedhereasnewmaterial.Twenty-five specieswhoseoccurrencesintheregionhavebeenpublishedsincetheCatalogue,arelistedsep- aratelyandtheirstatusisclarified.ThepurposeoftheselistsistoupdateStone'sCataloguefor the westernCanadianregion. FewpublicationsrelevanttotheasilidfaunaoftheregionhaveappearedsincetheCatalogue waspublished.Adisoemarto(1967)summarizedthedistributionoftherobberfliesofAlberta, and included some data from surrounding regions. RESULTS Twenty-one species and three genera previously unrecorded in Canada are documented (Table 1). The generaare Callinicus, Coleomyia, andMegaphorus. Twelve otherspecies and two genera {Andrenosoma and Stichopogon) have not previously been reported from British Columbia.
