Hansen ulius Evola (1898-1974) is still relatively unknown to the English-speaking world, even in the traditional circles surrounding René Guénon, of whom he was his leading Italian representative. The major reason for this is that until recently little of J Eros and Evola’s work had been translated into English. This situation is being remedied by the Mysteries f Love: Th Metaphysics of Sex Ehud Sperling, president of Inner Traditions International. In addition to The Yoga of Power, o e published in 1983, Inner Traditions The Hermetic Tradition Revolt Against the has also brought out two of Evola’s most important books, on Modern World r Tantrism, and , on alchemy. Following The Doctrine of Awakening , Inner Traditions will also republish Evola’s masterful wo k on Bud- 2 Gnosis dhist asceticism, . Evola received some recent attention in magazine, where Robin Waterfield attempted to present a well-balanced view of him, which drew immedi- 3 ate protest.
