ACADEMIC PROJECTS 1. NEDELS (Newspaper Delivery System) (May 2014 – July 2014) Mentor: Dr. S. C. Mishra, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur  Designed a model for the delivery of newspapers and magazines in a small town.  The model consisted of software project plan, requirements document, implementation plan, testing plan to manage the delivery of newspapers and magazines in some small town or an area of a larger town.  Model intended for use by newsagents who are only casual users of computer systems and should run on a Personal Computer (PC) or similar hardware. 2. ROLLS-ROYCE Case Study (May 2014 – July 2014) Mentor: Dr. S. C. Mishra, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur  Established actor modeling (i*) dependencies in the Rolls-Royce company under Enterprise Resource Planning.  Constructed Strategic Dependency (SD) and Strategic Rationale (SR) models for dependency and risk management during cultural, business and technical stages. 3. TIME SERIES ANALYSIS (August 2014 – November 2014) Mentor: Prof. Amit Mitra, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur Detection of Pima Indians Diabetes using Neural network Objectives:  Detection of diabetes using parameters such as Body mass index, Number of times pregnant etc  The data consisted of female patients of aat least 21 years old of Pima Indian heritage  Number of hidden layer and neurons were changed to make the network efficient  Classification was done using backpropagation algorithm. Prediction of exchange rate using Neural Network Objectives:  In order to keep inflation stable at appropriate moderate level and real economic activity at higher level, the monetary authority must have confidence, for which exchange rates are predicted.  Number of hidden layer and neurons in the network were changed to make the network more efficient. 4. Designed a manually operated Box Painting Machine (December 2013 – April 2014) Mentor: Dr. Shantanu Bhattarcharya, IIT Kanpur Specifications:  Both rotatory and vertical motion was provided by single power source, specifically to paint a cylindrical box  Various combination of bevel, rack and pinion gears were used  Manufacturing processes used were lathe, milling, turning, drilling and fitting 5. THE SEA HAWK (August 2013 – November 2013) Mentor: Dr. Anish Upadhyay, IIT Kanpur  Appreciated and awarded sectional second best project in TA 201(A) course.  Designed and fabricated non-working model of a metallic ship with movable mast.  Techniques like sheet metal forming, arc welding, brazing and forging were used. Secretary, Hindi Sahitya Sabha, IIT Kanpur (July ’13 – April ‘14)  Organized and conducted various Hindi literary events in the institute such as Nirvaak (Dumb Chariots), Saptrang, Kirdaar (Story literature) etc. 3. Secretary, Informals Cell, Antaragni ’13 (July ’13 – October ’13)  Constituted and conducted the two rounds of Treasure Hunt in Antaragni ’13.
