The contents of RIE do not necessarily reflect official OERI policy. Subscriptions to RIE (12 issues/year), individual issues, and semi-annual indexes (January-June and July-December) are available from the Superintendent of Documents, U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO), Washington, D.C. 20402. Inquiries regarding prices should be directed to the Superintendent of Documents. Introduction This volume cumulates the indexes that appeared in the monthly issues of Resources in Education from January through June 1993. This cumulation is intended to be a companion volume to the indi- vidual issues of Resources in Education, where the complete resumes of educational documents and their availability appear. It will be most useful to those who have access to copies of the monthly journal. The five indexes are arranged as follows: Subject Author Institution Publication Type Clearinghouse Accession Number/ED Number Cross Reference Index Each entry shows the title of the document and the ED number assigned to the complete resume when it was originally announced in Resources in Education. The searcher can use the number to locate a particular resume by referring to the ED number ranges that are displayed on the spine and title page of each monthly issue. Subject Index This index lists titles of documents under the major subject terms that have been assigned to charac- terize their contents. The subjects, which conform to those presented in the Thesaurus of ERIC Descrip- tors and the /dentifier Authority List, are in word-by-word alphabetical order. As shown in the examples below, the accession number is displayed below and to the right of the document title. Additional information about the document can be found under that number in the resume section. The symbol // appearing after an accession number identifies a document that is not available from the ERIC Document Reproduction Service and that is not in the ERIC Microfiche Collection.
