The Southwestern Illinois Resource Support Center (RSC) began operations on July 1, 1997, absorbing the former Regional Investigative Support Center, RISC, which began operations in October of 1995. The RSC provides technological, analytical and other support services to ISP and area law enforcement. This includes maintaining a deconfliction database, coordinating monthly intelligence exchange meetings, providing analytical products and support, major case support and educational programs. Staffing increased from three to six criminal intelligence analysts, and the positions of office coordinator, data entry clerk and computer technician were added.
