She graduated from the joint degree and diploma program in Medical Radiation Sciences offered by the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences and the University of Toronto in 2007, and completed her Master of Education in 2009. She served on the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) Board of Directors from 2009 to 2011, representing those early in their careers. She was also the Student Lead for the ISRRT World Con- gress and CAMRT Annual General Conference in Toronto in 2012. In June 2013, Caitlin was awarded her Fellowship of the CAMRT (FCAMRT) in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Currently, while practicing as a clinical radiation therapist, Caitlin is the Project Manager for the Accelerated Education Program at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. She is also the Associate Director of Curriculum for the Masters in Health Science in Medical Radiation Sciences (MHSc- MRS) program for radiation therapists at the University of Toronto. Her research interests include interprofessional education and practice in light of changing technologies. Lisa Di Prospero Lisa is currently the Manager of Education and Research for Radiation Therapy at the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Cen- tre and an assistant professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Toronto. She received her undergraduate and graduate degree in biology at McMaster University under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Rainbow and graduated from the Toronto-Sunnybrook School of Radiation Therapy in 1996. Throughout her professional career, Lisa has held several appointments in both research and education. Previous to her vi About the Editors current appointment, she was a professor in the undergraduate Medical Radiation Sciences program at the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences and The University of Toronto. She continues to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Lisa has authored and coauthored numerous articles and continues to mentor and coach both intra- and inter- professional colleagues. Lisa has been named the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences (JMIRS), an interna- tional, peer-reviewed journal. Her leadership style is transformative, and she leads by the question of “why not?” Her academic, clinical and re- search interests include interprofessional education and curriculum devel- opment, clinical teaching models and creating a research culture for radia- tion therapists. Lisa currently serves on committees for both the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO) and the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Nicole Harnett Nicole is currently the Director of the Radiation Skills Lab at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, the Director of the Medical Radiation Sciences Graduate Program and assistant professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Toronto. Nicole coordinated the program upon implementa- tion and eventually served as Dean of Diagnostic Imaging and Therapy at the Michener Institute. Nicole co-led the development of a professional master’s program for radiation therapists, which began in 2009, at the University of Toronto—the fi rst of its kind in North America. Nicole also leads the continuing medical educational initiatives within the Accelerated Education Program, including the Image-Guided Radiation Therapy and About the Editors vii the Quality and Safety in Radiation Therapy Education Courses, at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Nicole has been the Principal Investigator for the Clinical Specialist Radiation Therapist Project in Ontario since 2004, a project funded by the provincial Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, investigating the po- tential impact of advanced radiotherapy practice on the radiation medicine enterprise. Lori Holden Currently, Lori is the Clinical Specialist Radiation Therapist in the Pallia- tive Site at the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Cen- tre, and an assistant professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology, at the University of Toronto. In 1998, she graduated from the Hamilton Re- gional Cancer Centre (Juravinski Cancer Centre), and in 1999, she trans- ferred and began her employment at the Odette Cancer Centre (OCC) at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, in Toronto. In 2005, Lori was one of the initial select investigators for the Clinical Specialist Radia- tion Therapist project. Lori is an Associate Faculty Member, Institute of Medical Sciences, at the University of Toronto, and holds a certification as a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) from the Society of Clinical Research Associates. In 2010, Lori was the recipient of the prestigious Schulich Award for Nursing and Clinical Excellence—one of only ten awarded annually.
