SMITH Age 87 (7/05/15)- 11/10/02) Leonard "Lenny" Smith served the Hudson community in numerous capacities, mostnotably as a member ofthe New Hampshire General Assembly from 1972 to 1994, a member ofthe Hudson Planning Board for over 20 years, a representative to the Nashua Regional Planning Commission for more than 30 years, a member of the Building Board of Appeals since 1961 and a Library Trustee to Hills Memorial Library. He served in the Army Corps ofEngineers in WWII andwas a volunteer Fire Fighter in Hudson for 25 years, and was proud ofthe fact that he helped design the Central Fire Station. He was the recipient ofnumerous awards, including the Hudson Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year in 1991. Lenny's career, his service and his dedication to the community spans many years and are unequaled. With the passing of Lenny, we have lost an Americanpatriot, adedicatedpublic servant and agood friend. (We also note, with profoundsadness, the passing offormer State Representative and School Board member, Stanley N.
