Every country profile gives, first of all, an overview of the pension system in the country (Section 1) and the main reform trends (Section 2). Section 3 focuses on the assessment of the current and future adequacy of pensions and related challenges. Section 4 concludes with the main opportunities for addressing pension-related challenges. Finally, every country profile contains tables with background statistics, including the variant cases of the theoretical replacement rates. The main characteristics of the indicators used for the background statistics, as agreed by the Indicators sub-group of the Social Protection Committee, are described in the Annex. 7 8
