Welcome to the 2016 Regency Acres annual production sale. It is our pleasure to invite you to be our guest on Friday April 1st for lunch at 11:30 A.M. with the sale to follow at 1 P.M. Coffee and doughnuts will be available throughout the morning while you browse through the bulls and heifers. As always you are welcome to stop by the ranch anytime before March 31st to look through the cattle. We would be happy to show you the bulls and the cows behind them. First and foremost we would like to thank all past customers for their support of our program. Without you none of this would be possible. Nothing says more about a business, whether it be a ranch or store, than repeat customers. We would also like to welcome new and future customers. It’s always a pleasure to meet many fellow ranchers. Regency Acres has been raising registered Angus for 59 years. That’s 59 years and 3 generations of education and experience. The defi nition of experience is being able to recognize a mistake when you make it again! While I haven’t been in the business for 59 years, a wealth of knowledge has been passed down. It seems like the fi rst thing to get passed on is what NOT to do. We learn from our mistakes and also from our forefathers mistakes. With this in mind the program will continue to follow our mission statement: To propagate genetics that will return the most dollars per acre for our customers. To do that we are producing an animal that is thick, deep, long bodied, and heavily muscled while balancing the maternal traits of calving ease, ease of fl eshing, high quality udders, structural soundness, and intelligence. The bulls selling were developed on a 42 Mcal high roughage ration designed for a 2.75 lb gain. This allows the bulls to develop and grow at their own pace without causing structural damage. They have been freeze branded, carcass ultrasounded, fertility tested, and given two rounds of foot rot vaccine and wart vaccine. The heifers are also freeze branded and will have their yearling shots prior to the sale. Thank you for taking time to review the catalog. We look forward to seeing you on April 1st. Make sure a bigger bull doesn’t start whipping on him, or that could defeat what you are trying to accomplish. It is rare that this procedure is necessary, but it is good insurance and, once the bull gets a taste of what his job is, he will be ready for those heifers. When breeding season is fi nished, a reconditioning program for yearling bulls is good as they change their teeth at 18 to 24 months of age. 2 RRAA RROOCCKK AA114433 [BALDRIDGE KABOOM K243 KCF BALDRIDGE ROCK R913 BALDRIDGEEVERELDAENTENSE888J S ROCK 8166 [LEACHMAN RIGHT TIME S ELBREA 113 S ELBREA 975 [R A TWENTY TWENTY R A SPECTRE 4F R A FERN D 1230 RA WENDY W10 [RR HERO 3316 RA WENDY T40 RA WENDY R95 Rock was retained out of our 2001 calf crop to carry on the Rock lineage.
