Dear As you may have heard, there is an important event taking place today all over Scotland. You are hereby invited to take part in that event. We do sincerely wish you to consider Scotland’s future and your own role in it. The best way you can do this is by voting Yes when asked the following question later today: Should Scotland be an Independent Country? Yes □ No □ We recommend that you help thrust Scotland into the 21st century by voting Yes. You can make this happen by merely inserting an X into the box beside the word “Yes”, making sure not to go over the lines. Use black ink (not a pencil) and try to avoid the box beside the word “No”. This is NOT a good box and any mark within it will most likely lead to regret, depression, despondency and thirty more years of Conservative rule in Scotland. We hope you will consider using the attached instructions and program of events to help you understand and enjoy the rest of the day. The timetable of events is flexible but our researchers have determined that this is the best possible way for you to enjoy and experience this historic day. Six things you can do to make sure you experience the best possible outcome: 1. Make sure your TV or Radio is plugged in, charged, or in all other ways operational. 2. Make sure you have enough electricity in the meter, and/or have paid the power bill. Doing so will ensure you don’t miss anything. 3. Have plenty food and drink ready. Ingredients for a full Scottish breakfast and water based fluids (Irn Bru) and alcoholic beverages (Whisky) are mandatory. 4. Make sure all your Saltires are ironed and ready to fly/be placed anywhere people can see them, including round the neck and shoulders like a mad Scottish Batman. 5. Under no circumstances should you vote No. 6. Vote Yes. We hope you will enjoy your experience today, and that you soon become part of a fully independent Scotland. This is our moment, our past and our future, all rolled into one. While other countries use guns and bombs to remove their oppressors, we can achieve the same thing with the stroke of a pen. We recommend that you use that pen to vote Yes, for yourself, your children, and your grandchildren. More importantly, we urge that you vote Yes for every other person in Scotland, your colleagues, co-workers and countrymen. Sincerely yours, J.M.
