They gave their infi nite love, support, and encouragement during all those late nights and missed vacations to the beach while I was writing this book. I thank my mom and dad (Steve and Kathy) for support- ing me for so many years before passing the baton over to Mónica. I thank my father-in-law, Dr. Bernardo Reina, who is the very essence of a gentleman and an intellectual. I wrote this to try to make you guys proud. I’d also like to thank the good folks over at Peachpit Press: my editor Karyn Johnson for believing in this idea from the start and giving expert advice and support along the way, devel- opment editor Corbin Collins for his unwavering commitment to excellence in writing, produc- tion editor Lisa Brazieal for the great graphic look, and Danielle Foster for a beautiful layout. The good folks at RED were also a big help, especially Jarred, Graeme, Deanan, Stuart, Kelly, and Ted. The “chicos” at Simplemente were gracious enough to offer a ton of hands-on camera support, including Rune Hansen, Iris Mendieta, and Carlos Martínez Torres. And last but not least, I want to thank Jim Jannard for having the vision of a no-compromises movie camera for the masses and for following through on that vision.
