He has published two books on the problem of the one and the many in Aristotle’sMetaphysicsandisnowcompletingathirdvolumeonitsfinalbooks. His textbook for students on Aristotle’s Metaphysics has recently appeared. Halper has also published another book and some fifty papers in academic journalsandbooks,manyonAristotle,othersonawidevarietyofphilosophers andphilosophicalissues. MalcolmHeath is Professor of Greek Language and Literature at Leeds University. He works in many areas of Greek poetry and rhetoric, and ancient and modern liter- arytheory.Heisauthorofsevenbooksaswellasnumerousarticles,including atranslationof Aristotle’s Poetics(PenguinClassics,1996)and AncientPhilo- sophicalPoetics(Cambridge,2013).HehasrecentlycompletedPoeticalAnimals: Aristotle,AnthropologyandPoetry,andisworkingonatheoreticalcommentary onAristotle’sPoetics.
