His authority is only over those who follow him, and those who associate others with Him.” [The Bee 98-100] ﴾۹۸﴿ ﻢِ ﻴﺟِ ﺮﱠ ﻟٱ ﻦِ ﻄَٰ ﻴْ ﺸﱠ ﻟٱ ﻦَ ﻣِ ﻪِ ﻠﱠ ﻟﭑﺑِ ﺬْ ﻌِ ﺘَ ﺳْ ﭑﻓَ نَ اءَ ﺮْ ﻘُ ﻟْٱ تَ أْﺮَ ﻗَ اذَ ﺈِﻓَ نَ ﻮﻠُ ﻛﱠ ﻮَ ﺘَ ﻳَ ﻢْ ﻬِ ﺑﱢ رَ ﻰٰ ﻠَ ﻋَ وَ ا۟ﻮﻨُ ﻣَ اءَ ﻦَ ﻳﺬِ ﻟﱠٱ ﻰﻠَ ﻋَ ﻦٌ ﻄَٰ ﻠْ ﺳُ ۥﻪُ ﻟَ ﺲَ ﻴْ ﻟَ ۥﻪُ ﻧﱠ إِ نَ ﻮﻛُ ﺮِ ﺸْ ﻣُ ۦﻪِ ﺑِ ﻢﻫُ ﻦَ ﻳﺬِ ﻟﱠٱوَ ۥﻪُ ﻧَ ﻮْ ﻟﱠﻮَ ﺘَ ﻳَ ﻦَ ﻳﺬِ ﻟﱠٱ ﻰﻠَ .................................................................661 سﺎﻨـﻟا 1 The Opening ﺔﺤﺗﺎﻔﻟا 1 The Opening ﺔﺤﺗﺎﻔﻟا ﻢِ ﻴﺣِ ﺮﱠ ﻟٱ ﻦِ ﻤَٰ ﺣْ ﺮﱠ ﻟٱ ﻪِ ﻠﱠﻟٱ ﻢِ ﺴْ ﺑِ ١ 1 In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful. ﻦَ ﻴﻤِ َﻠﻌَٰ ﻟْٱ بﱢ رَ ﻪِ ﻠﱠِﻟ ﺪُ ﻤْ ﺤَ ﻟْٱ ٢ 2 Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. The Most Gracious, the Most ﻢِ ﻴﺣِ ﺮﱠ ﻟٱ ﻦِ ﻤَٰ ﺣْ ﺮﱠ ﻟٱ ٣ 3 Merciful. Master of the Day of Judgment. ﻦِ ﻳﺪﱢ ﻟٱ مِ ﻮْ ﻳَ ﻚِ ﻠِﻣَٰ ٤ 4 It is You we worship, and upon You ﻦُ ﻴﻌِ ﺘَ ﺴْ َﻧ كَ ﺎﻳﱠ إِوَ ﺪُ ﺒُﻌْ ﻧَ كَ ﺎﻳﱠ إِ ٥ 5 we call for help. ﻢَ ﻴﻘِ ﺘَ ﺴْ ﻤُ ﻟْٱ طَ ﺮَٰ ﺼﱢ ﻟٱ ﺎﻧَ ﺪِ ﻫْ ٱ ٦ 6 Guide us to the straight path. بِ ﻮﻀُ ﻐْ ﻤَ ﻟْٱ ﺮِ ﻴْﻏَ ﻢْ ﻬِﻴْﻠَ ﻋَ ﺖَ ﻤْ ﻌَ ﻧْ أَ ﻦَ ﻳﺬِ ﻟﱠٱ طَ ﺮَٰ ﺻِ ٧ 7 The path of those You have blessed, not of those against whom ﻦَ ﻴﻟﱢﺎٓﻀﱠ ﻟٱ ﻻَ وَ ﻢْ ﻬِﻴْﻠَ ﻋَ there is anger, nor of those who are misguided. 2 The Heifer ةﺮﻘﺒﻟا ﻢِ ﻴﺣِ ﺮﱠ ﻟٱ ﻦِ ﻤَٰ ﺣْ ﺮﱠ ﻟٱ ﻪِ ﻠﱠﻟٱ ﻢِ ﺴْ ﺑِ In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful. Alif, Lam, Meem. ﻢٓ ﻟٓا ١ 1 ﻦَ ﻴﻘِ ﺘﱠ ﻤُ ﻠْﻟﱢ ىﺪً ﻫُ ۛ ﻪِ ﻴﻓِ ۛ ﺐَ ﻳْ رَ ﻻَ ﺐُ ﺘَٰﻜِ ﻟْٱ ﻚَ ِﻟذَٰ ٢ 2 This is the Book in which there is no doubt, a guide for the righteous. ةَ ﻮٰ ﻠَ ﺼﱠ ﻟٱ نَ ﻮﻤُ ﻴﻘِ ﻳُ وَ ﺐِ ﻴْﻐَ ﻟْﭑ ﺑِ نَ ﻮﻨُ ﻣِ ﺆْ ﻳُ ﻦَ ﻳﺬِ ﻟﱠٱ ٣ 3 Those who believe in the unseen, and perform the prayers, and give نَ ﻮﻘُ ﻔِ ﻨﻳُ ﻢْ ﻬُﻨَٰﻗْ زَ رَ ﺎﻤﱠ ﻣِ وَ from what We have provided for them. ﻦﻣِ لَ ﺰِ ﻧأُ ﺎٓﻣَ وَ ﻚَ ﻴْﻟَإِ لَ ﺰِ ﻧأُ ﺎٓﻤَ ﺑِ نَ ﻮﻨُ ﻣِ ﺆْ ﻳُ ﻦَ ﻳﺬِ ﻟﱠٱ وَ ٤ 4 And those who believe in what was revealed to you, and in what was نَ ﻮﻨُ ﻗِ ﻮﻳُ ﻢْ ﻫُ ةِ ﺮَ ﺧِ اءَ لْ ﭑ ﺑِ وَ ﻚَ ﻠِﺒْﻗَ revealed before you, and are certain of the Hereafter. ﻢُ ﻫُ ﻚَ ﺌِ ﻟَٰٓو۟ أُوَ ۖ ﻢْ ﻬِﺑﱢ رﱠ ﻦﻣﱢ ىﺪً ﻫُ ﻰٰ ﻠَ ﻋَ ﻚَ ﺌِ ﻟَٰٓو۟ أُ ٥ 5 These are upon guidance from their Lord. These are the successful. نَ ﻮﺤُ ﻠِﻔْ ﻤُ ﻟْٱ page 1 2 The Heifer ةﺮﻘﺒﻟا مْ أَ ﻢْ ﻬُﺗَ رْ ﺬَ ﻧأَءَ ﻢْ ﻬِﻴْﻠَ ﻋَ ءٌ آﻮَ ﺳَ ا۟وﺮُ ﻔَ ﻛَ ﻦَ ﻳﺬِ ﻟﱠٱ نﱠ إِ ٦ 6 As for those who disbelieve—it is the same for them, whether you نَ ﻮﻨُ ﻣِ ﺆْ ﻳُ ﻻَ ﻢْ ﻫُ رْ ﺬِ ﻨﺗُ ﻢْ ﻟَ have warned them, or have not warned them—they do not believe. ﻰٰٓ ﻠَ ﻋَ وَ ۖ ﻢْ ﻬِﻌِ ﻤْ ﺳَ ﻰٰ ﻠَ ﻋَ وَ ﻢْ ﻬِﺑِ ﻮ ﻠُﻗُ ﻰٰ ﻠَ ﻋَ ﻪُ ﻠﱠﻟٱ ﻢَ ﺘَ ﺧَ ٧ 7 Allah has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and over their ﻢٌ ﻴﻈِ ﻋَ بٌ اﺬَ ﻋَ ﻢْ ﻬُﻟَوَ ۖ ةٌ ﻮَ ﺸَٰ ﻏِ ﻢْ ﻫِ ﺮِ ﺼَٰ ﺑْ أَ vision is a veil. They will have a severe torment. مِ ﻮْ ﻴَ ﻟْﭑ ﺑِ وَ ﻪِ ﻠﱠﻟﭑ ﺑِ ﺎﻨﱠ ﻣَ ا ءَ لُ ﻮﻘُ ﻳَ ﻦﻣَ سِ ﺎﻨﱠ ﻟٱ ﻦَ ﻣِ وَ ٨ 8 Among the people are those who say, “We believe in Allah and in the ﻦَ ﻴﻨِ ﻣِ ﺆْ ﻤُ ﺑِ ﻢﻫُ ﺎﻣَ وَ ﺮِ ﺧِ اءَ لْ ٱ Last Day,” but they are not believers. نَ ﻮﻋُ ﺪَ ﺨْ ﻳَ ﺎﻣَ وَ ا۟ﻮﻨُ ﻣَ اءَ ﻦَ ﻳﺬِ ﻟﱠٱ وَ ﻪَ ﻠﱠﻟٱ نَ ﻮﻋُ ﺪِ ﺨَٰ ﻳُ ٩ 9 They seek to deceive Allah and those who believe, but they deceive نَ وﺮُ ﻌُ ﺸْ ﻳَ ﺎﻣَ وَ ﻢْ ﻬُﺴَ ﻔُ ﻧأَ ٓﻻﱠإِ none but themselves, though they are not aware. ﻢْ ﻬُﻟَوَ ۖ ﺎﺿً ﺮَ ﻣَ ﻪُ ﻠﱠﻟٱ ﻢُ ﻫُ دَ اﺰَ ﻓَ ضٌ ﺮَ ﻣﱠ ﻢﻬِﺑِ ﻮﻠُﻗُ ﻰﻓِ ١٠ 10 In their hearts is sickness, and Allah has increased their sickness. نَ ﻮﺑُ ﺬِ ﻜْ ﻳَ ا۟ﻮﻧُ ﺎﻛَ ﺎﻤَ ﺑِ ﻢٌۢ ﻴِﻟأَ بٌ اﺬَ ﻋَ They will have a painful punishment because of their denial. ا۟ﻮٓ ﻟُﺎﻗَ ضِ رْ ﻷَ ْٱ ﻰﻓِ ا۟وﺪُ ﺴِ ﻔْ ﺗُ ﻻَ ﻢْ ﻬُﻟَ ﻞَ ﻴﻗِ اذَ إِوَ ١١ 11 And when it is said to them, “Do not make trouble on earth,” they say, نَ ﻮﺤُ ﻠِﺼْ ﻣُ ﻦُ ﺤْ َﻧ ﺎﻤَ ﻧﱠ إِ “We are only reformers.” نَ وﺮُ ﻌُ ﺸْ ﻳَ ﻻﱠ ﻦﻜِ ﻟَٰوَ نَ وﺪُ ﺴِ ﻔْ ﻤُ ﻟْٱ ﻢُ ﻫُ ﻢْ ﻬُﻧﱠ إِ ٓﻻَأَ ١٢ 12 In fact, they are the troublemakers, but they are not aware. سُ ﺎﻨﱠ ﻟٱ ﻦَ ﻣَ اءَ ﺎٓﻤَ ﻛَ ا۟ﻮﻨُ ﻣِ اءَ ﻢْ ﻬُﻟَ ﻞَ ﻴﻗِ اذَ إِوَ ١٣ 13 And when it is said to them, “Believe as the people have ﻢُ ﻫُ ﻢْ ﻬُﻧﱠ إِ ٓﻻَأَ ۗ ءُ ﺎٓﻬَﻔَ ﺴﱡ ﻟٱ ﻦَ ﻣَ اءَ ﺎٓﻤَ ﻛَ ﻦُ ﻣِ ﺆْ ﻧُ أَ ا۟ﻮٓ ﻟُﺎﻗَ believed,” they say, “Shall we نَ ﻮﻤُ ﻠَ ﻌْ ﻳَ ﻻﱠ ﻦﻜِ َﻟٰوَ ءُ ﺎٓﻬَﻔَ ﺴﱡ ﻟٱ believe as the fools have believed?” In fact, it is they who are the fools, but they do not know. اذَ إِوَ ﺎﻨﱠ ﻣَ اءَ ا۟ﻮٓ ﻟُﺎﻗَ ا۟ﻮﻨُ ﻣَ اءَ ﻦَ ﻳﺬِ ﻟﱠٱ ا۟ﻮﻘُ ﻟَ اذَ إِوَ ١٤ 14 And when they come across those who believe, they say, “We believe”; ﻦُ ﺤْ ﻧَ ﺎﻤَ ﻧﱠ إِ ﻢْ ﻜُ ﻌَ ﻣَ ﺎﻧﱠ إِ ا۟ﻮٓ ﻟُﺎﻗَ ﻢْ ﻬِﻨِ ﻴﻄِ ﻴَٰﺷَ ﻰٰ ﻟَإِ ا۟ﻮْ َﻠﺧَ but when they are alone with their devils, they say, “We are with you; نَ وءُ ﺰِ ﻬْﺘَ ﺴْ ﻣُ we were only ridiculing.” ﻢْ ﻬِﻨِ ﻴَٰﻐْ ﻃُ ﻰﻓِ ﻢْ ﻫُ ﺪﱡ ﻤُ ﻳَ وَ ﻢْ ﻬِﺑِ ئُ ﺰِ ﻬْﺘَ ﺴْ ﻳَ ﻪُ ﻠﱠﻟٱ ١٥ 15 It is Allah who ridicules them, and leaves them bewildered in their نَ ﻮﻬُ ﻤَ ﻌْ ﻳَ transgression. page 2 2 The Heifer ةﺮﻘﺒﻟا ﺎ ﻤَ ﻓَ ىٰ ﺪَ ﻬُﻟْﭑ ﺑِ ﺔَ ﻠَ َﻠٰﻀﱠ ﻟٱ ا۟وُ ﺮَ ﺘَ ﺷْ ٱ ﻦَ ﻳﺬِ ﻟﱠٱ ﻚَ ﺌِ ﻟَٰٓو۟ أُ ١٦ 16 Those are they who have bartered error for guidance; but their trade ﻦَ ﻳﺪِ ﺘَ ﻬْﻣُ ا۟ﻮﻧُ ﺎﻛَ ﺎﻣَ وَ ﻢْ ﻬُﺗُ ﺮَ ﺠَٰ ﺗﱢ ﺖﺤَ ﺑِ رَ does not profit them, and they are not guided. ﺎٓﻤﱠ ﻠَ ﻓَ ارً ﺎﻧَ ﺪَ ﻗَ ﻮْ ﺘَ ﺳْ ٱ ىﺬِ ﻟﱠٱ ﻞِ ﺜَ ﻤَ ﻛَ ﻢْ ﻬُﻠُﺜَ ﻣَ ١٧ 17 Their likeness is that of a person who kindled a fire; when it ﻢْ ﻬُﻛَ ﺮَ ﺗَ وَ ﻢْ ﻫِ رِ ﻮﻨُ ﺑِ ﻪُ ﻠﱠ ﻟٱ ﺐَ ﻫَ ذَ ﻪۥُ َﻟﻮْ ﺣَ ﺎﻣَ تْ ءَ ﺎٓﺿَ أَ illuminated all around him, Allah took away their light, and left them in نَ وﺮُ ﺼِ ﺒْﻳُ ﻻﱠ ﺖٍ ﻤَٰ ﻠُﻇُ ﻰﻓِ darkness, unable to see. نَ ﻮﻌُ ﺟِ ﺮْ ﻳَ ﻻَ ﻢْ ﻬُﻓَ ﻰٌ ﻤْ ﻋُ ﻢٌ ﻜْ ﺑُ ﻢﱞۢ ﺻُ ١٨ 18 Deaf, dumb, blind. They will not return. ﺪٌ ﻋْ رَ وَ ﺖٌ ﻤَٰ ﻠُﻇُ ﻪِ ﻴﻓِ ءِ ﺎٓﻤَ ﺴﱠ ﻟٱ ﻦَ ﻣﱢ ﺐٍ ﻴﱢ ﺼَ ﻛَ وْ أَ ١٩ 19 Or like a cloudburst from the sky, in which is darkness, and thunder, ﻦَ ﻣﱢ ﻢﻬِﻧِ اذَ اءَ ﻰﻓِ ﻢْ ﻬُﻌَ ﺒِ ﺻَٰ أَ نَ ﻮﻠُﻌَ ﺠْ ﻳَ قٌ ﺮْ ﺑَ وَ and lightning. They press their ٓ ﻦَ ﻳﺮِ ﻔِ ﻜَٰ ﻟْﭑ ﺑِ ﻂٌۢ ﻴﺤِ ﻣُ ﻪُ ﻠﱠﻟٱ وَ ۚ تِ ﻮْ ﻤَ ﻟْٱ رَ ﺬَ ﺣَ ﻖِ ﻋِ ﻮَٰ ﺼﱠ ﻟٱ fthinugnedres ribnotolt sth, einir f eeaarrs o ffr domea tthh.e B ut Allah surrounds the disbelievers. ءَ ﺎٓﺿَ أَ ﺎٓﻤَ ﻠﱠ ﻛُ ۖ ﻢْ ﻫُ ﺮَ ﺼَٰ ﺑْ أَ ﻒُ ﻄَ ﺨْ ﻳَ قُ ﺮْ ﺒَﻟْٱ دُ ﺎﻜَ ﻳَ ٢٠ 20 The lightning almost snatches their sight away. Whenever it ﻮْ َﻟوَ ۚ ا۟ﻮﻣُ ﺎﻗَ ﻢْ ﻬِﻴْﻠَ ﻋَ ﻢَ ﻠَ ﻇْ أَ آذَ إِوَ ﻪِ ﻴﻓِ ا۟ﻮْ ﺸَ ﻣﱠ ﻢﻬُﻟَ illuminates for them, they walk in it; ﻪَ ﻠﱠﻟٱ نﱠ إِ ۚ ﻢْ ﻫِ ﺮِ ﺼَٰ ﺑْ أَوَ ﻢْ ﻬِﻌِ ﻤْ ﺴَ ﺑِ ﺐَ ﻫَ ﺬَ ﻟَ ﻪُ ﻠﱠ ﻟٱ ءَ ﺎٓﺷَ but when it grows dark over them, they stand still. Had Allah willed, He ﺮٌ ﻳﺪِ ﻗَ ءٍ ﻰﺷَ ﻞﱢ ﻛُ ﻰﻠَ ﻋَ could have taken away their hearing ْ ٰ and their sight. Allah is capable of everything. ﻢْ ﻜُ ﻘَ ﻠَ ﺧَ ىﺬِ ﻟﱠٱ ﻢُ ﻜُ ﺑﱠ رَ ا۟وﺪُ ﺒُﻋْ ٱ سُ ﺎﻨﱠ ﻟٱ ﺎﻬَﻳﱡ َﺄﻳَٰٓ ٢١ 21 O people! Worship your Lord who created you and those before you, نَ ﻮﻘُ ﺘﱠ ﺗَ ﻢْ ﻜُ ﻠﱠﻌَ َﻟ ﻢْ ﻜُ ﻠِﺒْﻗَ ﻦﻣِ ﻦَ ﻳﺬِ ﻟﱠٱ وَ that you may attain piety. ءً ﺎٓﻨَ ﺑِ ءَ ﺎٓﻤَ ﺴﱠ ﻟٱ وَ ﺎﺷً ﺮَٰ ﻓِ ضَ رْ ﻷَ ْٱ ﻢُ ﻜُ َﻟ ﻞَ ﻌَ ﺟَ ىﺬِ ﻟﱠٱ ٢٢ 22 He who made the earth a habitat for you, and the sky a structure, and تِ ﺮَٰ ﻤَ ﺜﱠ ﻟٱ ﻦَ ﻣِ ۦ ﻪِ ﺑِ جَ ﺮَ ﺧْ َﺄﻓَ ءً ﺎٓﻣَ ءِ ﺎٓﻤَ ﺴﱠ ﻟٱ ﻦَ ﻣِ لَ ﺰَ ﻧأَوَ sends water down from the sky, and نَ ﻮﻤُ ﻠَ ﻌْ ﺗَ ﻢْ ﺘُ ﻧأَوَ ادً اﺪَ ﻧأَ ﻪِ ﻠﱠِﻟ ا۟ﻮﻠُﻌَ ﺠْ ﺗَ ﻼَ ﻓَ ۖ ﻢْ ﻜُ ﻟﱠ ﺎﻗً زْ رِ brings out fruits thereby, as a sustenance for you. Therefore, do not assign rivals to Allah while you know. ﺎﻧَ ﺪِ ﺒْﻋَ ﻰٰ ﻠَ ﻋَ ﺎﻨَ ﻟْﺰﱠ ﻧَ ﺎﻤﱠ ﻣﱢ ﺐٍ ﻳْ رَ ﻰﻓِ ﻢْ ﺘُ ﻨﻛُ نإِوَ ٢٣ 23 And if you are in doubt about what We have revealed to Our servant, ﻦﻣﱢ ﻢﻛُ ءَ آﺪَ ﻬَﺷُ ا۟ﻮﻋُ دْ ٱ وَ ۦ ﻪِ ﻠِﺜْ ﻣﱢ ﻦﻣﱢ ةٍ رَ ﻮﺴُ ﺑِ ا۟ﻮﺗُ ﺄْ ﻓَ then produce a chapter like these, and call your witnesses apart from ﻦَ ﻴﻗِ ﺪِ ﺻَٰ ﻢْ ﺘُ ﻨﻛُ نإِ ﻪِ ﻠﱠﻟٱ نِ ودُ Allah, if you are truthful. page 3
